02 How it works
The treatment is carried out by Sarah in a single appointment, with no anaesthetic and no downtime.
Cleanse and preparation
The skin is cleansed and prepared so the carbon solution can settle evenly across the treatment area.
Carbon application
A fine layer of medical-grade carbon solution is applied and left to settle into the surface of the skin and the pores.
Laser pass
The laser passes over the skin, lifting the carbon away along with surface debris, dead skin cells and excess oil.
Finish and aftercare
The skin is soothed and protected, and you leave with aftercare advice. Most people return to their day straight away.

Suitability is always determined at consultation, following a full medical history.

Is the Carbon Laser Facial painful?
No anaesthetic is needed. Most people describe a warm, light tingling as the laser passes over the skin.
How long are the launch prices available?
The launch prices run until 30 September. From 1 October the Carbon Laser Facial is £110 and the Carbon Glow Facial is £140.
How much downtime is there?
None in most cases. The skin may look a little pink for a short time afterwards.
When will I see a difference?
Skin usually looks brighter and feels smoother straight away, which is why many people book it before an event.
How many sessions will I need?
A single session gives a noticeable refresh. A course is often suggested for oilier or more congested skin; Sarah will advise at your consultation.

What is the difference between the two options?
The Carbon Laser Facial is the laser treatment on its own. The Carbon Glow Facial combines dermaplaning, the carbon laser and Dermalux LED therapy in one longer appointment.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
It is best to leave the skin bare for the rest of the day. You will be given full aftercare advice before you leave.
Is it suitable for every skin tone?
Your skin type and history are assessed individually at consultation, and Sarah will advise whether the treatment is right for you.
How should I prepare?
Come with clean skin, and avoid sun exposure, fake tan and other resurfacing treatments beforehand. Full instructions are confirmed when you book.
